Apple's foldable iPhone is called iPhone Duo
iPhone Duo is the official name of Apple's first foldable iPhone. Apple announced it on September 9, 2026, with a 7.6-inch inner display, a 5.4-inch outer display and two finishes: Star White and Night Sky. What changes when your iPhone folds?
The large inner screen creates more room for reading, watching and multitasking. The compact outer screen lets you use the phone while it is closed. Apple confirms A20 Pro, a Touch ID side button and an interface that adapts as the phone folds. The practical buying question is how often you would use that extra screen space.
Does iPhone Duo support MagSafe and USB-C?
Yes. Apple's announcement confirms wired USB-C charging and wireless charging with MagSafe or Qi2. Apple's charging notes describe the equipment used in its tests; those results do not establish the speed of every third-party charger.
Match the charger, power adapter and cable to your setup. Check the product's stated output and make sure your case and camera area clear the charging surface. A power bank should sit flat without obstructing the hinge. Our Qi2 and MagSafe guide explains the charging terms.
Choose a case made for iPhone Duo
A conventional iPhone case cannot be assumed to fit a folding phone. Select iPhone Duo in the model selector and check the product's construction, camera opening, hinge coverage and magnetic attachment. Different case designs can protect different parts of the phone.
