Plan your charging setup before you travel — from power banks and adapters to multi-device chargers and airline considerations.
Build a simple travel setup
For most trips, keep your setup compact: one multi-device charger where possible, one suitable wall adapter, one dependable USB-C cable, and a power bank if you expect long periods away from an outlet.
Power banks on flights
Power banks use lithium batteries and are commonly restricted to carry-on baggage. Capacity limits and airline procedures vary. Check your airline before departure, especially for high-capacity batteries or connecting flights.
Wall plugs and adapters
A travel plug adapter changes the physical plug shape. It does not necessarily convert voltage. Check the input rating printed on your charger or power adapter before using it abroad.
Hotel charging tips
- Use a stable wall outlet where possible.
- Avoid loose or damaged outlets.
- Keep chargers uncovered so heat can dissipate.
- Pack the cable required by each device even if your main charger is wireless.
